Market

Carlton Stud sells poll shorthorn cattle to commercial and stud breeders in the pastoral and agricultural regions of Australia.
Semen is also available from top sires and can be distributed globally.

Animal traits

Field trials and experience have shown that Carlton Stud progeny are equally able to thrive under harsh conditions as well as higher rainfall areas. Cattle breeders in the interior of Australia have found that Carlton bulls outperform their other sires regardless of the season.

Carlton animals are known for their ease of handling due to their even temperaments and the amount of human contact they receive from birth. Commercial cattle growers in the outback are very appreciative of this trait when they work with these bulls.
